New Year, New You
I’ve never really been a fan of that saying. This idea that your last year’s self was garbage and you can do better doesn’t sit right with me. However, there’s no denying that there’s something about a new year that inspires you to do a bit of a reset. Especially after the year we’ve all endured, we could do with a reboot.
Here at Oiyo, we’ve created a challenge over the month of January to help you do a complete overhaul of your finances. With tools, articles, checklists, and expert advice, we’ll provide all the information you need and answer any questions you have along the way. What’s more, I will be personally undertaking this challenge and documenting my process along the way.
Here’s a sneak peek of what we have in store for you.
Week 1 – Banking Institutions
We start the challenge off by taking a deep dive into the very institution that we trust with all our hard-earned cash. Is your bank right for you and how easy is it to change? We answer all your questions, give you the lowdown on banks, and put together a handy guide on how to change banks.
Week 2 – Insurance
This one’s going to be big. There are so many different things to be insured for and several options available for each one. We simplify the process, show you your options, and how to go about saving money in the process.
Week 3 – Super
There was a lot of talk about superannuation this year and that talk shed some much-needed light on the importance of your nest egg. Not all super companies are created equal. We guide you through the jungle of options available to you, what to look out for, and what you need to know when deciding where to put your retirement fund.
Week 4 – Savings / Budget
Once you have sorted everything out, we give you a bunch of tips and tricks on how to create a budget and save money. The perfect way to set you up for not only 2021, but for many years to come.
We have heard you all tell us how important these conversations are to have and this challenge is an opportunity to sort out some big issues and get them out of the way.
A call-out
We are currently looking for some like-minded organisations to work with for this challenge. Banks, insurance companies, superannuations, apps, service providers, financial experts, and of course… YOU. We want your questions to help us curate this challenge so you can get the most out of it.

From the whole team here at Oiyo, have a safe and happy new year. See you in 2021!
